A prolific Coventry shoplifter who struck three times in two days is behind bars after we quickly identified and arrested him.

Kyle Cigleris targeted a store in Upper Well Street on 27 October, despite already being barred from entering after a previous shop theft conviction.

He then stole from another shop in Walsgrave Road the following day - once in the morning and then again in the evening.

Following prompt enquiries, officers from our St Michael's neighbourhood team arrested Cigleris on 29 October and found him in possession of cannabis.

The 26-year-old, of Radford Road, pleaded guilty to three counts of shop theft, possession of cannabis and breaching a restraining order at Coventry Magistrates Court.

Cigleris was sentenced to three months imprisonment last Wednesday (30 October).
