Prolific Coventry offender jailed after breaching CBO
He's been put behind bars for six months.
A prolific offender from Coventry is behind bars after he breached conditions banning him from parts of the city.
Luke Campbell had been granted a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order in May this year banning him from entering the Hillfields area after a spate of thefts.
Now, the 34-year-old has been jailed for six months after he was arrested last week.
Campbell was sentenced at Coventry Magistrates Court on 30 September after pleading guilty to fraud, breaching a CBO and burglary.
Because of Campbell's CBO, officers were able to charge him and secure a conviction more easily.
The CBO, issued in May this year, bans him from entering Far Gosford Street, or any retail or business premises in Coventry city centre.
It was granted after he was spotted by officers using stolen bank cards at shops in the city.
All of the cards had been stolen from vehicles in the Hillfields area throughout May.
He is also banned from approaching or entering any student accommodation in the city, as well as being banned from entering the Hillfields area.
