Officers have thanked the public for their patience.

In a statement on social media, officers said: "The police cordon has now been reduced in Queen’s Road, Nuneaton following the discovery of a suspicious package.

"A smaller cordon remains in place around the shop where the discovery was made at the junction with Stratford Street.

"Following enquiries we can confirm the package posed no risk to the public. Police will remain in the area for some time.
