Police appeal for witnesses following stabbing in Coleshill

Warwickshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information after an assault in Coleshill at the weekend.

A spokesperson for Warwickshire Police said "At around 9.45pm on Friday (12 September) a man in his twenties was stabbed outside The Bell Inn on Birmingham Road.

"The victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

"A number of enquiries are currently ongoing and officers are appealing to anyone who was in the pub and may have witnessed or filmed the offence to please come forward. Any information can be given by calling 101, quoting incident number 399 of 12 September."

"An urgent licensing review has also been requested at the location.

"Information can also be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their website."
