One person has died following a crash in Wishaw

One person has died and a second has been taken to hospital following a crash this morning.

Emergency services were called to Bulls Lane in Wishaw, near to Wishaw Golf Club, at 11.10am.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival crews discovered a car that had collided with a hedge, from which there were four occupants.

“One of them, a man, was found to be in a critical condition and was already receiving basic life support from fire service colleagues.

“Ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support but sadly, despite everyone’s best efforts, it became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.

“A teenage female was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Good Hope Hospital whilst two further men did not wish to be assessed.”
