No party has overall control of Warwickshire County Council.

It's been a complete loss for the Conservatives in the county, who have lost control of the council along with their leader Izzi Seccombe losing her seat.

The big numbers went to Reform UK who picked up 23 seats out of the 57 available.

They were followed by the Lib Dems in second who have won 14 seats.

The Tories - who in the last local election won 42 seats - only picked up nine this time.

However, the local authority is known for having a 'no overall control', last experiencing this from 2013-2017.

What will happen next?

It's likely now talks will begin among political parties to see if a coalition can be built for some sort of control in the local authority.

If that fails to happen, then the county council will operate with no set leader.
