Man charged with Coventry murder
Its following an incident on Saturday afternoon (15 March)
A man has been charged with murder after another man was found dead at an address in Coventry.
Officers were called just before 2pm on Saturday to Newcombe Road after two men were found with serious stab wounds inside an address.
One man, Anthony Wilson, aged 50, was confirmed dead at the scene.
His family said today: “We are profoundly sorry that his life has been taken in his way.
“The tragic circumstances are particularly distressing and we are grateful to learn of the help and support received at the time from his neighbours and friends.”
The second man, also in his 50s, was found with potentially life changing facial injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains today.
James Ritchie, aged 51, of no fixed address, was charged with murder and attempted murder.
He was appearing before Coventry magistrates today (Monday 17 March).
