Man charged with conspiracy to murder after Coventry shooting

Victim remains in hospital after attack on Far Gosford Street attack

A man has been charged with conspiracy to murder after a shooting in Coventry earlier this month.

Police said the victim was taken to hospital in the early hours of 13th September with a gunshot wound. Following enquiries, detectives established that the shooting took place in a car park in Far Gosford Street.

Mohammed Ali Khan, 31, was arrested on Tuesday morning and charged last night with conspiracy to murder.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Coventry Magistrates’ Court today (Friday).

The victim remains in hospital and continues to recover from his injuries.

West Midlands Police said they are committed to tackling gun crime in the region, with specialist firearms officers working around the clock alongside investigation teams to track down and arrest those involved in armed criminality.
