Man arrested after woman dies in Coventry
A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of murder
A man has been arrested after a woman died at a property in Coventry yesterday (10 December).
West Midlands Police (WMP) were called at around 1pm following concerns for her welfare.
Officers arrived at the scene on Burnaby Road, but it reported nothing could be done to save her and she was pronounced dead.
A post-mortem will be held today to establish how she died.
A man in his 30s was arrested by officers at a nearby premises at just after 1.30pm and remains in custody on suspicion of murder.
He is believed to have been known to the victim. Officers say they're not currently looking for anyone else in connection with the investigation.
The investigation is at a very early stage with an increased police presence in the area.
Forensics experts are carrying out detailed examinations and police are speaking to witnesses and retrieving CCTV footage as enquiries continue.
