Exhibition dedicated to Coventry artists is open to the public
The Coventry Open is showcasing the talent of local artists until June this year
More that 100 artists in Coventry and Warwickshire have seen their talents go on display at the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum.
The exhibition is set to run until June 8th and is set to attract thousands of visitors from across the UK.
The Coventry Open 2025 celebrates the quality and diversity of art being displayed in Coventry and Warwickshire.
Marguerite Nugent is the Director of Culture at CV Life. She's been telling us about the various pieces of art on display.
Marguerite said: "There's a real variety of different types of artwork in many different mediums.
"We have everything from sculptures, to paintings, to films and there is a real diversity of subject matter as well."
Marguerite continued to say that artists in Coventry, and the wider region, need a space to show their talent and the Herbert in the city centre is the perfect place for it.
Marguerite said: "I don't think Coventry is alone is needing more space for artists to be able to work and exhibit their skills.
"I hope this exhibition is making really good inroads in providing that support for artists."
