Coventry Building Society announces £1.6 million in funding to support local communities in 2025
The £1.6 million donation from Coventry Building Society will support community organisations and charities across Coventry
Coventry Building Society has announced that a £1.6 million grant will be launched next year to support charities and community organisations in Coventry.
The funding will be split between 126 organisations in the region to help the city’s most disadvantaged individuals and communities.
The donation is part of Coventry Building Society’s ongoing commitment to support local initiatives with a particular focus on education, poverty relief and social services.
Anna Cuskin is the Corporate Responsibility Manager at Coventry Building Society; she’s been sharing her excitement about the donation: “Our £1.6 million support across Coventry is specifically targeted at making a lasting difference to people’s lives next year.
“There are so many charities and organisations across our city making a tremendous difference, and we hope our donation will help them to continue their invaluable work.”
One community sector Coventry Building Society are committed to supporting is youth programmes.
Court House Green Primary School in Coventry is one of the local schools which will see the benefits of the funding.
Deputy Headteacher, Louise Reeves said pupils will see amazing benefits from the funding: “It’s fantastic what Coventry Building Society do for our school.
“Primarily, they support our pupils with their maths and reading development.
“The funding is put towards initiatives that help children see how maths can be used in the real world through special guests that come and talk to the children or organised trips.”
The £1.6 million funding will be launched next year to benefit a wide range of causes across Coventry such as youth programmes, services for the elderly, food banks and homeless support.
