Coventry Airport plans permanent closure in 2026
Airport to shut down its operations by June
Coventry Airport has announced its intention to permanently close, notifying the UK Civil Aviation Authority of its plans to cease operations on 11th June 2026.
An official spokesperson from the Civil Aviation Authority confirmed the airport’s decision, noting that the closure stems from the airport itself.
The authority explained its role is to cancel any approvals or licences held by the aerodrome once notified of such plans.
Coventry Airport has yet to provide further details regarding the reasoning behind the closure.
