Coventry Cathedral is preparing to welcome people across Coventry and Warwickshire for it's Easter Sunday service
Coventry Cathedral has welcomed people across Coventry and Warwickshire to celebrate Easter this weekend.
The Cathedral, at the heart of the city centre, has held religious ceremonies and services to mark Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and the Stations of the Cross.
Today marks Easter Sunday and Coventry Cathedral are set to commemorate through various services throughout the day, the first service begins at 5:30am during sunrise at the Cathedral ruins.
We've been speaking with the Dean of Coventry Cathedral, John Witcombe, on the services that have taken place this weekend.
John said: "Coventry Cathedral has some amazing traditions which we continue to follow each year at Easter in Coventry.
"Many of our services are absolutely magical and spinetingling, I have to say I have never seen some of them done anywhere else.
"The Cathedral is a place for the whole community to gather, it's not just for our religious services.
"We've accommodated many families who have taken part in our arts and crafts activities which we have been hosting throughout the week.
"It's been amazing to see the community at the heart of our services and activities this Easter at Coventry Cathedral."
