A further two people have been arrested in a suspected murder investigation after a man died following a stabbing in Nuneaton.

Two boys aged 16 and 15 were arrested on suspicion of murder overnight, in addition to the 14 and 15-year-old boys who had already been arrested on suspicion of murder.

25-year-old Tom Ellis died after being stabbed in an incident outside the Ropewalk shopping centre in Queen's Road just before 9:30pm on Saturday 8 June.

Chief Inspector Kris Shore, policing commander for North Warwickshire, said: “We have made significant progress in our investigation having identified four suspects within 72 hours and brought them into custody.

“We have several cordons in place in Nuneaton at the moment while police searches take place.

“We continue to support Tom’s family and keep them updated with the latest developments.

Warwickshire Police are still looking for witnesses, and want to speak to anyone who was passing through Queens Road between 9:15pm and 9:30pm on 8 June.
