World's largest toothbrush made by man in Cornwall
The invention has made it into the Guinness Book of World Records
The world's largest toothbrush has been made by a pair from Cornwall and Sheffield.
A huge electric toothbrush, measuring at 6ft 7 inches, is the latest entry to the Guinness Book of World Records.
It was created by Ruth Amos, aged 34, and 33-year-old Shawn Brown, who run a YouTube channel called Kids Invent Stuff.
The idea was suggested to them by 11 year old George.
Shawn, from Falmouth, said: "A couple of years ago 11 year old George sent us the idea for a giant toothbrush you could use in the garden. We loved his idea so much we thought we would bring it to life."
The brush measures large enough to clean the teeth of a large mammal.
Shawn added: "The cleaning we tested with it were things like cleaning a patio or removing moss.
"We were trying to think what animal could have their teeth cleaned with our giant toothbrush with the scale of it, and thought it would probably be something like a blue whale."
The publication of the new edition marks the beginning of Guinness World Records’ 70th anniversary celebrations.
It will be featured in this years book alongside various other world records.
