Penryn road floods with raw sewage

South West Water has apologised after a road in Penryn was flooded with raw sewage.

A sewer burst on Commercial Road on Monday afternoon spilling drain water into the street.

Three-way lights have been set up to help with the traffic whilst South West Water are continuing repairs. Tankers are transferring flows away from the road after the burst.

In response, they said: "We are sorry for any disruption and noise caused by the activities taking place and we would like to thank local residents for their patience whilst we work to resolve this as quickly as we can."
