Sexual assault near Penryn
Police are appealing for witnesses in the area
Police are appealing for information following a sexual assault near Penry that took place on the morning of Thursday 3 April.
The incident occurred between 8am and 8.30am at a bus stop in Longdowns, where a teenage girl was approached by a man who made lewd comments before sexually assaulting her.
The victim managed to escape, but it is reported that the same suspect then approached two other young people in the area. He allegedly made inappropriate comments to one and put his arm around her.
A man in his 30s from the Penryn area has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and breach of a criminal behaviour order. He has been released on police bail while investigations continue.
Devon & Cornwall Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the Longdowns area at the time and witnessed anything suspicious, or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage that could assist the investigation.
