Restaurant owners 'overwhelmed' by response to devastating fire near St Austell

The owners of a restaurant which has been destroyed by a major kitchen fire say they've been 'overwhelmed' by the response.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service attended the blaze at Kingswood Bar and Restaurant on London Apprentice, near St Austell, at 1.56am on Friday 26 April.
Tom and Nicki Bradbury, owners of Kingswood Restaurant, said:
"It has been so difficult to find the right words to update you all after the devastating fire that has destroyed our beloved Kingswood."
"This has not just affected our lives, but the lives of so many of our hardworking, and dedicated staff.
"Cornwall Fire and Rescue crew worked tirelessly to try to control the damage but it was just too much, and our heartfelt thanks go out to each and every one of them.
"We are unbelievably overwhelmed with the response from everybody locally, and afar. Reading all your messages of love and support is really helping us to get through such a difficult time. We are so grateful for you all.
We sincerely hope that we will be able to be in a position to welcome, and serve you all once again."
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: "Two appliances from St Austell and Mevagissey responded to this incident as well as a wholetime officer.
"On arrival a fire involving a restaurant kitchen was discovered. Crews made pumps six and requested the attendance of the aerial ladder platform from Truro. The request additional resources were mobilised to the incident from St Dennis, Fowey and Lostwithiel.
"Specialist vehicles including the Incident Command Unit from Launceston, the Operational Support Vehicle from St Austell and the welfare vehicle from Perranporth also formed part of the attendance."
