Investigation launched over reports of sheep chased off cliff edge

Enquiries are underway after reports of a sheep being chased over a cliff edge in Newquay.

Police say it happened in the Polly Joke area on Sunday (27/7) - and it's reported that one of the individuals responsible was aggressive to a member of the public when challenged.

In a statement, Devon and Cornwall Police told us: "We have been notified of a report of a sheep being chased over a cliff edge in the Polly Joke area of Newquay on Sunday 27 July.

"It was reported one of the individuals responsible was then aggressive to a member of the public when challenged.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
