Man arrested for threatening to kill man in Penzance supermarket car park
Devon and Cornwall Police have launched an appeal for information
A man in his 30s has been arrested after threatening to kill a man in the middle of a supermarket car park in Penzance.
Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police were alerted to an incident taking place in the car park of a Tesco in Branwell Lane at around 4pm on April 3rd.
When they arrived, they found that a man had approached a second man, where a brief but serious altercation took place between the two.
It was reported that during the interaction, the suspect had threatened the man before a brief scuffle between the two broke out.
Following lines of enquiry, police confirmed that a man from the St Ives area was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill; he has since been bailed as investigations continue.
Now, the force is asking anyone who may have been in the car park at the time of the incident, or anyone who may have any CCTV or dashcam footage, to come forward.
