Cornwall Council said: "A section of the A390, from the Truro side of Primrose Farm Holidays to Threemilestone Roundabout, will be closed between 7pm and 6am on a series of nights during October to enable essential highways works to be carried out.

"The closure will be in place on the night of Sunday 6th, Monday 7th, Tuesday 8th, Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th October.

"Then again on Sunday 13th, Monday 14th, Tuesday 15th, Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th October, and finally the nights of Sunday 27th, Monday 28th, Tuesday 29th, Wednesday 30th and Thursday 31st October.

"The A390 will be signed as closed to the general public, with a signed diversion route in place.

"Access will continue to be provided for residents and businesses, as well as the emergency services.

"The works, which are being carried out by CORMAC, involve changing the current temporary road layout and moving traffic from the north side of the new roundabout to the south side.

"The closure will enable streetlights and the traffic signals to be commissioned, as well as carrying out the final surfacing and laying of white lines."
