Man suffers serious injuries in single-vehicle crash

A man has been seriously injured after a single-vehicle crash in Bodmin.

The emergency services were called to the scene at 3pm yesterday (April 16) - with two people trapped inside the vehicle.

The air ambulance was also rushed out.

Devon and Cornwall Police told us: "Police were called at 3pm on Wednesday 16 April following a single car collision on the A39 at St Kew Highway, Bodmin.

"The car ended up on its roof with two people trapped inside.

"Ambulance, the air ambulance and the fire service attended.

"A man sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital. His injuries were not life-changing or threatening.

"A woman also sustained minor injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital.

"The road was closed until 5.30pm."
