A man's been charged with arson with intent to endanger life, in connection with a fire at a house in Boscastle.

54 year old Mark Fury, of Fore Street, is due before Bodmin Magistrates Court today (Tuesday 1st April).

It follows an incident on Sunday lunchtime (30th March) in which a house in Fore Street was severely damaged in a blaze, with the roof collapsing.

A neighbouring property was also damaged.

At its height, 70 firefighters dealt with the blaze.

Mr Fury was taken to Treliske Hospital to be checked over before being taken into police custody.
