Conservatives lose for no overall control

The former tory county is one of many across the country where no party has the majority

Voters across the Duchy have voted to elect the 87 councillors who will represent their communities on Cornwall Council.

Here's the results as it stands:

Liberal Democrats

Councillors elected- 26

Reform UK

Councillors elected- 26

Independent

Councillors elected- 16

Conservative

Councillors elected- 7

Green

Councillors elected- 3

Labour

Councillors elected- 3

Mebyon Kernow

Councillors elected- 3

Town and parish elections have also taken place on the same day.

The counts have been taking place at Bodmin Leisure Centre, Truro Cathedral and Carn Brea Leisure Centre today (Friday 2 May).
