Man arrested following disturbance in Torpoint

A man has been arrested by police after a disturbance at a block of flats in Torpoint.

Officers were called out at around 12.40pm yesterday following reports of a man making threats with a machete outside flats in Harvey Street.

Armed police attended the scene but were unable to find the man who had fled. Officers then made further enquiries in Plymouth.

Police received a further report this morning, that the suspect had returned to Harvey Street.

A man in his 20s, from Plymouth, was arrested by police on suspicion of affray. He remains in police custody at this time.
