People across Cornwall are being invited to visit an illuminated trail of lanterns across the gardens of Heligan.

The venue is hosting a Christmas of lights and colour with new arrivals as well as longtime favourite illuminations.

Laura Chesterfield, managing director at Heligan, said: "Every year we add new sparkle and excitement to our Night Garden.

"Whether a visit is an annual tradition or you’re experiencing Heligan after-dark for the first time, everyone from curious little ones to couples and groups of friends will enjoy the magic of our nighttime wonderland. Inspired by and working with the natural flora and fauna of our historic estate, the Night Garden bathes Heligan in a winter glow that’s not-to-be missed. Come along and illuminate your winter".

For the after-dark "winter spectacular," one area along the trail will transform into a light-filled moving masterpiece with immersive art installations.

The Lost Garden of Heligan opens late for the Night Garden on select dates in November, December and January, giving visitors the chance to experience the mysterious setting in the dark.
