A prototype Concorde, an array of Second World War artefacts, and even an ice cream kiosk, are just some of the lots being put up for sale over the next two days, following the collapse of the iconic theme park, Flambards.

It was back in November 2024 when bosses announced the site in Helston was closing 'with immediate effect' because of ever-increasing financial pressures, and a growing decline in visitor numbers.

There's around a thousand lots up for sale today (Wednesday) and tomorrow in Penzance, after a reel of pre-booked viewings were made over the weekend.

It comes just over a week after 'various items' were taken after a break-i - in the early hours of March 16th.

It comes just weeks after we learnt that an entire Victorian village display has been sold to a historical tourist attraction in Durham.

Originally developed in the late 1970s, the Flambards Victorian Village grew into one of the most detailed period recreations in the UK and features over 40 sets and scenes, capturing the daily life of the era with thousands of genuine artefacts.

A spokesperson said: "Kynren will reimagine the Village as the backdrop to a dynamic and immersive visitor experience. Visitors will step into the sights, sounds and stories of Victorian Life as they explore the cobbled streets, encountering live action scenes that bring history to life in a way only Kynren can.

"The Victorian Village, a much-loved heritage exhibit from Flambards Theme Park in Cornwall, was at risk of being broken up and sold in individual lots following the park’s recent closure. Thanks to Kynren’s commitment to authentic historical storytelling, this extraordinary collection will remain intact, providing the setting for a walk-through experience that will transport visitors to the heart of Victorian England."
