People across Cornwall have been reporting that they have low water pressure or no water at all this morning (Tuesday 23 July).

In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), South West Water (SWW) say it's due to a burst main in their network and that a team is on site working to fix it.

The company originally said that some customers in the St Agnes and Roseland areas "may experience lower water pressure than normal or a loss of supply". It has since confirmed that the affected areas are TR1 - TR16.

Jack is staying on a campsite near Truro. He says with no running water, it means that they have no access to showers or toilet facilities:

"It makes us feel a bit dirty and unclean because we're unable to sort ourselves out and we're ultimately looking at other options of what we can for emergency solutions - can we find a public toilet somewhere? Not ideal at all."

In the latest update on X, SWW said: "Engineers are currently on site working hard to repair the burst main and we apologise for the inconvenience this has caused.

"When your supply is restored, you may experience discolouration, please run your tap until the discolouration clears."

There is currently no timescale on when the issue will be resolved.

Customers are also reporting issues with SWW's website, which the company says it's aware of and is working to resolve.

Cornwall Council have confirmed that Threemilestone School is closed all day due to no water.

We have contacted SWW for further comment.
