Woman ordered to carry out unpaid work for her role in Bristol riots

She's also been given a suspended sentence and told to to pay ÂŁ600 in costs

A 27-year-old woman has been given a suspended prison sentence, for her role in the Bristol Riots in 2021.

Katie Webster, of no fixed address, has admitted to throwing a glass bottle at a police officer in Bristol.

She was due to stand trial this week, charged with assaulting an emergency worker, but pleaded guilty shortly before.

A judge has sentenced her to 21 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months.

Webster has also been told to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work, pay ÂŁ600 in court costs and undergo 20 days of rehabilition.

Thirty two people have so far been given immediate jail terms, for a combined total of 98 years and 10 months.
