Bosses at Weston-super-Mare AFC say they are 'disgusted and appalled' after a member of their playing squad and a club official 'were the victims of racial abuse from a Torquay United supporter'.
They say it happened during their match on Monday, which ended 3-all.
Following the incident, the club have confirmed a number of their fans raised the matter to the stewards, and it was followed up at the end of the match - with them notifying the Torquay United staff.
Torquay United received an interim email report later that day, as well as the National League, and today (April 3rd), the incident has officially been reported to the visiting club, as well as Devon and Cornwall Police, Avon and Somerset Police, the National League and campaigners Kick It Out.
In a statement, the club said: "Weston-super-Mare AFC finds any form of discriminatory behaviour totally abhorrent.
"As a club we have zero tolerance for any form of discrimination or racist abuse. There is no place for such behaviour in football, or society as a whole.
"If anyone has any information about the incident, please email secretary@wsmafc.co.uk."
