Vigil to be held for three children found dead in Sea Mills
The community are coming together to remember the siblings
The community in the Sea Mills will be coming together on Friday (23rd February), and are holding a vigil for the three children found dead at a house in the area over the weekend.
It'll be held at Sea Mills Square from 7.30 pm on the 23rd February.
A page has been created on Facebook where the organiser, Jo-Jo Cowley said "As someone who lives just around the corner to where this happened, it is truly heartbreaking and unimaginable".
Jo-jo said "Three innocent lives have been taken - three children who had their whole lives ahead of them, cut so short. I hope Sea Mills can come together and the surrounding communities next Friday, 23".
Police were first called to Blaise Walk to a "concern for welfare" at 12.40 am on Sunday 18th February, where they found the children.
Earlier this week, Avon and Somerset Police say they believe the children are seven-year-old Fares Bash, three-year-old Joury Bash and nine-month-old Mohammed Bash.
In a statement from police, we're told that "Their next of kin are continuing to be supported by specially trained officers and our thoughts remain with them at this incredibly difficult time, as well as everyone affected by this tragedy".
"Forensic post-mortem examinations will be carried out on the children to establish the cause of death and it’s important we don’t give further detail on this until the proper processes have been carried out. The post-mortem examinations are not likely to be completed until the middle to the end of this week at the earliest."
