With the World Cup in full swing, an organisation has launched a nationwide campaign highlighting the benefits of fostering.

To coincide with the global FIFA tournament, 26 local council fostering teams are coming together in celebration of fostering with the 'Local Councils United challenge, bringing communities together - just like the game of football itself.

Here in the South West, North Somerset, Wiltshire, Swindon and Gloucestershire local authorities are getting on-board - with each of the 26 councils given a select day to shout about the great work of fostering.

In celebration of the FIFA World Cup, regional teams from each of the councils have produced a video with the theme of football about what people can do to help with fostering.

With the aim of highlighting just why people should foster, '#FosterWithYourCouncil2022' is hoping to 'go viral' with their campaign, and to get more people talking of the good fostering can do for local communities.

The organisation are inviting everyone to view, share and celebrate local fostering communities.

Across our region, all the councils have released their video ahead of taking-on the baton, sharing what they're doing for the #LocalCouncilsUnited campaign.
