MIKA named as Bristol Sounds headliner

He'll perform on the opening night this June

"Grace Kelly" singer MIKA has been confirmed as the final headliner for West Country music festival Bristol Sounds this summer.

Organisers say he will perform on the Bristol Harbourside on Wednesday 21 June in the Lloyds Amphitheatre to kick off a week of live music.

"MIKA has gained legendary status in the industry alongside big names such as Elton John, Freddie Mercury and Prince," a press release from Bristol Sounds reads.

"Storming his way through the violet skies, MIKA launched his career in 2007 with the iconic single, Grace Kelly - landing him at number one in the charts."

MIKA will headline the opening evening of Bristol Sounds, ahead of Jacob Collier, James, Leveller’s Beautiful Day Out and Self Esteem from Thursday 22nd until Sunday 25th.
