Man suffers life-changing injuries after Kingswood assault

A man in his 40s is in hospital with life-changing injuries after a serious assault in Kingswood.
Officers were called out late last night (23 April) by the ambulance service.
They've launched an appeal for information.
In a statement, Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were called by the ambulance service shortly after 10.45pm yesterday (23 April) to a report of a serious assault in Pound Road, Kingswood.
"The victim, a man aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital where he is being treated for injuries that are believed to be life-changing, but not life-threatening."
Neighbourhood Inspector Dudley Bond said: "Officers have been conducting local investigations, including house-to-house enquiries and reviewing CCTV footage, to identify those responsible and these enquiries are continuing.
"We fully recognise the concern this incident will have caused. There will be an increased police presence in the area as the cordon remains in place. If you have any concerns then please do approach an officer."
