America rock superstars - Kings of Leon - are this year returning to the UK, and will be stopping off in Bristol as part of their latest tour, 'Can We Please Have Fun'.

Earlier this week the band announced their highly anticipated ninth full-length studio album, ‘Can We Please Have Fun’, which will be released on May 10 via Polydor Records.

The band are celebrating their 21st anniversary this year, and have sold more than 20 million albums, and nearly 40 million singles worldwide.

They've headlined major festivals all over the world, including Glastonbury and Coachella, and have three Grammy Awards to their name, three NME Awards, two BRITs and one Juno Award.

Jenny Hutchinson, Venue Director at Ashton Gate Stadium, said: “We are incredibly proud to welcome Kings of Leon, one of the world’s biggest alternative rock bands, to Ashton Gate this summer. It’s been more than 20 years since the band last performed in Bristol and we can’t wait to see them rock Ashton Gate with their incredible back catalogue in June.

“Ashton Gate has already hosted world-renowned rock bands in recent years and this announcement is another example of our ambition to bring the biggest artists to Bristol. Kings of Leon promises to be another memorable night at the stadium!”
