Darren Jones appointed to Starmer's new government
He'll serve as Chief Secretary to the Treasury.
Bristol MP Darren Jones has been appointed Chief Secretary to the Treasury in Keir Starmer's new government.
He was re-elected as Member of Parliament for Bristol North West in the General Election, a seat he's held since 2017.
On his X account he says: "I’m thrilled the Prime Minister has asked me to serve as his Chief Secretary to the Treasury."
"I can’t wait to get to work with the Chancellor and the rest of the Cabinet to turn the page and rebuild Britain."
