A fundraising campaign has been launched by the former manager of the man who was killed earlier this week at Notting Hill Carnival.

On Monday, Bristol-born rapper Takayo Nembhard - otherwise known with the stage name TKorStretch - was stabbed to death in Ladbroke Grove.

TaKayo - who was 21 - was expecting to be a dad.

Today, Chris Patrick created GoFundMe page to help support his family and has shared his campaign on social media.

Detectives in the case from the Metropolitan Police are still appealing for witnesses - with police saying hundreds of people would have been in the area when the stabbing happened.

Yesterday, London Mayor Sadiq Khan voiced voiced his support of the Notting Hill Carnival, despite this year's violence.

Mr Khan described the cultural celebration "A really important part of the fabric of London," whilst thanking the emergency services for their work during the event.

In total, there were seven reported stabbings at the Notting Hill Carnival on Monday evening.

On their fundraising page, Chis Patrick said: "Little TK will never have the opportunity to know his Father, and Takayo will tragically never meet his little baby boy.

"Fundraising is not ordinarily something we do in the black community, but I do this because TK’s talent was endless and I can tell you guys he was close to greatness! He had 3 albums ready to go, and the powers that be where keenly watching. His turn was coming!

"Takayo came to London from Bristol, to simply have a good time at the London carnival with his family and friends with the same enthusiasm as the 2 million people who attended, and this is the end result.

"The effect of his murder will last a life time His Mother, Father, Siblings Family and friends are inconsolable.

"My deepest condolences. Rest in peace my Friend."

Anyone with information about what happened is urged to get in touch with police.
