Firefighters tackle huge blaze in Weston-super-Mare

Crews remain on the scene making it safe

Firefighters in Weston-super-Mare are continuing to investigate a huge fire which started overnight (5 November).

Avon Fire Service have confirmed they believe the cause of the blaze to be accidental and no one was injured.

At it's height firefighters from 5 different stations tackled the incident near Lower Kewstoke Road.

Crews remain at the scene making it safe.

Teams worked with with other emergency services and agencies including, Environment Agency and the police for traffic management of the local area.

Locals were advised to stay inside and close windows but that has since been lifted.
