2003 chart-topper Fatman Scoop is to host Ashton Gate Presents BS3 later this year.

The American rapper joins the line-up as compère for the first ever multi-artist show promoted by the venue most people know as the home of Bristol City Football Club and the Bristol Bears.

We don't know the full line-up - but we do know Ne-Yo, Craig David Presents TS5 and DJ Spoony Presents Garage Classical will be there.

After earning his moniker by appearing as an ice cream man in the Fugees’ video “Killing Me Softly”, Fatman Scoop made his name with his distinctive hip-hop hype man style after his single “Be Faithful”, which became a massive club hit.

He's collaborated with the likes of Lil Jon, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston and Pitbull, and is known as the biggest hype man in hip-hop music.

Bosses at the venue have called him the 'perfect host' for the first Ashton Gate Presents BS3.

Jenny Hutchinson, Venue Director at Ashton Gate said: “This is another exciting addition to our line-up for the first ever ‘BS3’ event. Fatman Scoop is a renowned hype man and will keep our audience entertained in between sets from our artists, creating an extraordinary show like no other the stadium has seen before with non-stop music over two stages.”
