Alex Scott has been named the EFL Championship Young Player of the Year at a ceremony in London.

The 19-year-old joins the likes of Jude Bellingham and Ollie Watkins, who had previously been given the honour.

He was up against Middlesbrough’s Hayden Hackney and Sunderland’s loanee from Manchester United Amad Diallo for the award.

He's made 39 appearances for Bristol City this campaign.

Bristol City were also named EFL Green Club of the Year in London last night.

Earlier this year, Scott was named the EFL's 21 Under 21 to watch, and scooped the Young EFL Player of the Month award in February.
