Police continue their appeal for information after two people were seriously assaulted in Bristol.

The force say the incident, back in July, is a case which is still open - as they have revealed they are still looking for witnesses to help them trace the man who was responsible.

It happened back on July 16, at about 3.15am, when the two victims were on their way back home.

That is when officers say a confrontation happened with the unknown third man in the Stapleton Road area of the city.

Both victims received stab wounds which required medical treatment.

One of them needed to go to hospital but has since been discharged.

The offender is described as a male with short black hair, about 6ft and was wearing a denim jacket pulled over his hair, light blue jeans and white Nike Air trainers.

He’s said to have an Eastern European accent. He reportedly left the scene in the direction of Fishponds Road.

Anyone who can help the police with their enquiries is asked to call 101 and quote reference number 5223169772, report it online, or or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or via its website.
