Latest residents' survey set up by Weymouth Town Council

They want to know what we think about services they run locally

There's a chance to tell Weymouth Town Council what you think about local services run by the Town Council, as they open up their annual Residents' Survey.

The authority looks after things like public toilets, parks, gardens, and open spaces to the beach and promenade, as well as projects like developing the former Tumbledown farm, into a community asset and events including the summer firework displays and Remembrance services.

Council Leader Cllr David Harris said:

“We need to hear feedback from our residents in order to understand where we are doing well as a Council, and where we could make improvements. Weymouth Town Council is committed to listening to residents and acting in their best interests. Our residents’ survey will provide valuable feedback on what is important to everyone living in the town and help us to understand what people think of their Council.

“The survey results will also be used to evaluate satisfaction levels with the services the Council provides so that we can continue to make improvements for the benefit of all residents, and to tourists who visit our beautiful coastal town.”

People taking part in the survey will ask about residents’ thoughts on customer service satisfaction levels when contacting the council, what people think of the events the Council puts on, and how clean and well-maintained their facilities are.

The consultation runs for a month from today (Wednesday 13th November) through until Wednesday 11th December at 5.00pm.

It's available online, or at Weymouth’s library where people can get support to fill out it out using computers on site.

There's also a reminder that services like housing, highways, planning, bin collections, schools, social care, libraries, benefits, or parking, fall under Dorset Council, not the Town Council.
