West Dorset social club burgled, with safe taken

A West Dorset social club's been targeted by thieves, who took a safe containing cash and a bottle of alcohol.

The Wootton Fitzpaine club off Westover Hill in the village was broken into at around 4.00am on Friday 4th October.

There's now an appeal to trace any witnesses, especially those who saw a car being driven away from the scene.

PC Richard Robson, of West Dorset police, said:

“I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard suspicious activity in the area to please contact Dorset Police.

“A vehicle was seen being driven off around the time of the incident and I would also ask anyone who may have captured relevant dashcam footage to please come forward.”
