Teenager assaulted at Weymouth taxi rank

The male victim suffered facial and bodily injuries

A teenager's been hit in the face during an assault outside a Weymouth taxi rank.

Police say it happened between 1.00 and 4.00am on Sunday 5th May, outside Bee Cars on St Edmund Street.

The victim - a male in his late teens - suffered facial and body injuries.

The offender's described as a man of large build, around five feet nine inches tall and with short black hair.

Police Constable Andy Dickinson, of Weymouth police, said:

“We are continuing to investigate this assault and establish the full circumstances of how it happened.

“We know that it occurred during a busy time of the evening over a bank holiday weekend with many members of the public present, and we are keen for anyone who witnessed what happened who hasn’t already spoken to police to please come forward.”
