Teenage girl arrested after house fire in Weymouth
The fire broke out in a bungalow yesterday morning
A teenage girl has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a house fire in Weymouth.
Crews were called to Sunnyside Road just after 10.30 yesterday (24 June) morning.
Police say the cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate.
A 17-year-old girl was detained and has been released on bail.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said:
"Officers attended the scene and liaised with the fire service.
"It is reported that the cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate and a 17-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of arson.
"She has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
"Officers left the scene at around 11.50am."
