Rolex watch stolen during Bournemouth robbery

A man had the watch 'forcefully' taken in the Lower Gardens

A man's had his Rolex Sub-Mariner watch stolen from him during a robbery in Bournemouth.

The victim, in his 40s, was walking through the Lower Gardens between 10.30 and 11.00pm on Saturday 24th June, when a man approached him from behind.

He 'forcefully removed' the watch, leaving he victim with cuts and bruises to his hand and wrist.

The offender ran off towards Gervis Place and is described as:

  • Black
  • Aged in his mid 20s to 30s
  • Around five feet ten inches tall
  • Average build
  • Short dark brown or black hair
  • Dressed all in black
  • May have been wearing white trainers

The stolen watch was a Rolex Sub-Mariner, in stainless steel with a black face and bezel.

PC Jez Lee, of Dorset Police, said:

“We have been conducting a number of enquiries into this robbery, including a trawl of CCTV footage in the area, and I am keen to hear from any witnesses to the incident.

“I am also issuing an image of the watch that was stolen and would urge anyone who comes across a matching watch being offered for sale locally or online in unusual or suspicious circumstances to please contact us.”
