Primark coming to Weymouth
The clothing and home chain's confirmed a new store
Primark is coming to Weymouth, with work starting on their building next year.
The clothing and home chain has confirmed that they'll be taking over the former Wilko building on Westham Road.
That's been empty since Autumn last year, when the company fell into administration.
It's expected the Primark branch will open in early 2026.
Dorset currently has stores in Bournemouth, Boscombe and Poole.
Conor Walsh, Director of South West & North East at Primark said in a statement:
“We're pleased to confirm we plan to open a new store in Weymouth located in Westham Road, taking over the former Wilko building.
"Work will begin in store over the coming months, and we hope to open our doors in early 2026. We look forward to becoming a part of the local community."
