A mountain bike and tools including a chainsaw are among the items stolen from a garage near Blandford last week.

Dorset Police received a report at around 10.45pm on Wednesday 10 November 2021 of a burglary at a garage in Letton Close.

It is reported that the suspects – who were wearing dark clothing and had their faces covered – fled the scene around 10 minutes later in a white van.

Officers carried out a search of the area, but the van was not located.

A number of items were stolen, including a Giant Fathom mountain bike and a large amount of STIHL, DeWalt, Makita, Husqvarna, Hilti and Milwaukee tools and equipment, such as chainsaws, hedge trimmers, drill drivers, a circular saw, planer and a leaf blower.

Police Constable Nicholas May, of North Dorset police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area around the relevant time to please come forward.

“I would also urge motorists who were travelling in the vicinity to please check their dashcam footage for a vehicle matching the description given.

“Finally, I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who has seen any tools similar to the ones described for sale locally in unusual circumstances.”
