Mini driver hit stationary Mercedes and drove off in Dorchester

The incident happened in the Parkhouse Pet Supplies car park.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward following a fail-to-stop collision near Dorchester.

It is reported that at around 1.10pm on Tuesday 21 December 2021 a collision occurred involving a silver Mercedes, which was stationary, and a silver or grey Mini Clubman in the car park outside Parkhouse Pet Supplies on the Marabout Industrial Estate.

The driver of the Mini failed to stop at the scene and drove out of the car park without leaving their details.

Police Constable Dave Ash, of West Dorset police, said:

“I have been continuing to carry out enquiries into this incident, including checking CCTV in the area, but have so far not been able to identify the Mini.

“I am appealing to anyone who has seen a vehicle matching the description given with possible damage since the date of the incident to please come forward.

“I would also urge the driver involved to do the right thing and contact Dorset Police so we can take your account of what happened.”
