Man seriously injured in A356 Chedington crash

A driver had to be airlifted hospital yesterday (Monday 4th November)

A man's been left with serious injuries in a collision on the A356 near Chedington in West Dorset.

A silver Volvo XC40 and a silver Volkswagen Touran were involved just after 10.30am yesterday (Monday 4th November).

The VW driver, who's in his 40s, was airlifted to hospital, with no other injuries reported.

Sergeant Lee Savage, of the Roads Policing Team, said:

“We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision.

“I would urge any witnesses to the collision, or the manner of driving of the vehicles involved prior to it, to please make contact with us.

“I am also keen to hear from any motorists who may have captured relevant dashcam footage.

“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures were in place. These are necessary to enable the emergency services to safely respond to the incident and for the scene to be examined.”
